Joanne's Valentine's Day Perks

Dental Tales of Love, Adventure, and Fun

'Love is patient and kind; love is never jealous, or conceited, or proud, or provoked; love does not keep a record of wrongs; love is not happy with evil but is pleased with the truth. Love never gives up; it's faith, hope, and patience never fail.'

Since the beginning of time, musicians, poets, and novelists have described love, but the pure, unadulterated description can be found in the Bible. Love comes in many forms, and some love is inherent, like the love of a mother for a child. Romantic love is different. It is a choice, and there are no clear rules. Sometimes a simple glance can start a love we all dream to have. Or love can be something that builds over months or even years. We all want to believe in it.

I have included chapter 4 of "Faulty Impressions' as a Valentine read. In this tale cupid's arrow strikes in a moment, but Anthony does not have the confidence to believe he could capture the heart of the beautiful Rebecca. Young love is wonderful, but dramatic, unpredictable, and fragile; a chance; when a man and a woman have no idea if their feelings will lead to promise and commitment, and if that promise, that choice, can be sustained. If you haven't read 'Faulty Impressions' it is a story about students in dental school. Despite many faulty impressions they find their path in life through dentistry and love.

Sunday Perks will take a week off, as I will be off grid next week, cruising with a group of authors on the Symphony of the Seas. 8000 guests and crew members will be on board, and I have not met a single one in person but was introduced to other authors and students in a zoom call. My roommate is Nora Duncan, who recently published 'Navigate Family Technology.' Classes will be held while at sea, and we will stop at three ports: St. Thomas, St. Martin, and Nassau. The next newsletter will be March 1st, and I will describe what it was like. Wish me smooth sailing, as I have never been on a cruise!

My eBooks are now available through Books2Read, which will direct readers to the platform of their choice. Thank you for your support, and best wishes always, Joanne

Joanne's Sunday Perks Dental tales of Love, Adventure, and Fun Happy Easter. It is the most joyful and religious day in the Christian calendar. On this holy day, I have to think of my Aunt Eleanor. She was the most devout Catholic I have ever known, and I'm certain God recognized this and she is with him now. I miss her. In honor of Aunt Eleanor, I am giving you the gift of her quiche recipe. I have baked this dish many times; it is delicious and predictable. I usually use deli ham but...
