Dental tales of Love. Adventure, and Fun

My mother has been gone for over 20 years, but this year I had an overwhelming desire to remember the times she made quick and easy butterfly cupcakes. No recipe is needed. If you can bake cupcakes and make whipped cream (or buy it) the dessert can be done in a jiffy.

Mother's Day Treats

Butterfly Cupcakes

Quick and simple. Bake chocolate cupcakes according to package directions. Cut and remove a cone shaped wedge from each cupcake, fill the hole with whipped cream, and cut the cone in half for the wings. I used a fresh raspberry for the garnish.

This year's Special

A delicious treat for me on Mother's Day; compliments of my daughter and her boyfriend.

Precious Memories

If you have young children in your life, cherish them. Being a mother is a tough journey, but for me, the best moments were simple, when they were tiny, and the days were precious and fleeting. What I would do for just one more day back then. The wisdom of our elders does not hit us until we, too, are older, and time goes by much too quickly. Happy Mother's Day. Celebrate your own mother, your children and grandchildren if you are so fortunate to have them; and recognize the irreplaceable role of motherhood in our society. Mother's Day is a day for all women to celebrate. Motherhood is only one facet of the incredible calling to care for others. Happy Mother's Day and best wishes...Joanne
